How to choose what to order in a restaurant?

If you’re anything like me, picking what to order off a restaurant menu can be challenging. There are so many delicious-sounding options, and it’s hard to determine which one will be the best. Here are a few tips to help you make your decision:

1. Consider your mood

Do you want something light or hearty? Something sweet or savory? Do you want something vegetarian or vegan?

Pick one or all of these things, and then stick with it! If your favorite restaurant has a lot of options and you need to decide which one is right for you, try asking what other people are ordering.

They might have had some great experiences with their orders in other restaurants so that they can give you advice! Knowing what kind of food you’re in the mood for can help narrow down your choices.

2. Check out the specials

Often restaurants in Vancouver will have daily or weekly specials that sound amazing but aren’t listed on the regular menu.

Asking your server about these can give you some great ideas.

Other factors include how much time it takes for your order to arrive and whether or not it comes with sides or appetizers.

3. Ask for recommendations

If you’re still stuck, ask your server for their recommendation, or even better, ask the chef!

They know their food best and can guide you toward something unique that you may not have considered otherwise.

If there’s nothing else on the menu that sounds appealing, try asking the staff at the restaurant if they have any suggestions.

They might even suggest something new that still needs to be added! It’s also possible that they’ll recommend something similar to an item on their menu but different enough from it, so it tastes better than another option would have been!
